Aaron was born in Pittsburgh PA and grew up with a love for Science, sci-fi, and extreme sports. He moved to Philadelphia to attend Drexel School of Biomedical Engineering, reasoning that a lifetime of skateboarding, mountainbiking, snowboarding, and freerunning would result in needing his joints replaced one day, and he ought to help design the replacements himself. This changed when he took on a Microbiology internship at Victory Brewing and realized that he was much more passionate about hands-on labwork and pure Science than Engineering, and he transferred to Cleveland State University to pursue a degree in Biological Science.
Upon graduating, Aaron worked as a Process Chemist at Plasman Inc. while learning Thai and studying for his TEFL certification, and moved to Bangkok when his contract was up to teach Senior-level Science at Sanya Panyapiwat Institute of Management. He quickly learned that teaching was the best application of his abilities and hobbies, as students responded positively to his real-world experience in the Sciences as well as his use of anime and freerunning clips that related to the lessons. He also mentored students developing their science-fair projects, and stayed after school once a week for the skateboarding club, helping students learn to skate for the first time or perfect their tricks.
Aaron is excited to be helping students achieve their goals and pursue their passions as a Tutor at Galin. In his free time, he still enjoys mountainbiking, longboarding, freerunning, and cliff diving, making music and writing short stories, drone flying and aerial photography, camping, woodworking, cooking, and reading science fiction novels and manga.
