A Milwaukee native, Alyssa Noseworthy left home to attend Dartmouth College, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish. While there, she developed a passion for teaching from her time as a college writing tutor and English teaching assistant. In her senior year, she earned the Class of 1962 Excellence in Writing Assistance award, a distinction she received for a track record of positive student feedback and the close relationships she built with her writing students.
Following her graduation, Alyssa knew she wanted to keep teaching! So, she applied for a Fulbright grant to teach English as a Second Language in Belgium, where she taught at two high schools and dove head-first into an intercultural learning environment. Outside of her teaching duties, she also volunteered at EducationUSA as a point person at college and study abroad fairs, helping break down the US college admissions process to international students. Alyssa has always felt a strong drive to make college admissions more accessible by equipping students with the tools and resources they need to succeed, and EducationUSA was an amazing opportunity to build grassroots connections with students outside of the classroom. In addition to ACT and SAT test prep, Alyssa can offer guidance to students interested in fields such as language and international relations, as well as how to identify opportunities to study or work abroad. In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys experimenting with new recipes, learning new languages, and traveling.
