Ari

As an academic coach, Ari enjoys helping students better understand themselves as learners, recognize their strengths, and develop practical strategies for achieving their goals. He believes that students are most likely to grow when they feel understood, capable, and personally invested in the goals they are pursuing.

Ari brings experience working with students in a variety of educational and developmental settings. He taught high school biology at Scattergood Friends School and worked with adolescents and young adults as a wilderness therapy instructor. During his doctoral studies, he taught courses at UW–Madison on topics including adolescent and adult development, human happiness and well-being, family assessment, and couple relationships.

Ari earned his PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He previously studied neuroscience and religious studies at Dickinson College and theological studies at Boston University.

Ari lives in Madison with his wife and baby boy. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, listening to music, and reading.
