Ben works hard to instill a growth mindset in his students. He finds that once students overcome this particular hurdle, they are more willing to grapple with difficult content, find joy in their work, and ultimately gain a deeper understanding of the content they are learning.
Ben grew up in Massachusetts and attended Kenyon College for his undergraduate studies. While in undergrad, Ben discovered that he enjoyed studying psychology and joined a research psychology lab. Ben went on to pursue his PhD in psychology. Ben is now a professor at Ohio Wesleyan University, where he teaching psychology and statistics.
In his free time, Ben enjoys reading, playing cooperative board games, and cooking (though not at the same time).
