As the parent of a high school student and as a college counselor, Brooklyn understands the emotions and questions that often come with the admissions process. She strives to be a trusted guide and encouraging partner, helping students not only achieve their college goals but also grow in confidence along the way.
Brooklyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Furman University (with a minor in Education and History), her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law, and a Professional Certificate in College Admissions Consulting from UC Berkeley Extension. Her educational background allows her to combine analytical thinking with a deep understanding of the ever-changing college admissions landscape.
While Brooklyn’s professional path has been diverse (ranging from practicing attorney, leading youth efforts in the political arena, and owning small businesses), a common thread connected each chapter: helping young people discover opportunities and reach their potential. She has found that there isn’t just one path to a career in college counseling, just as there isn’t one path to college. Brooklyn believes that the college admissions process should be exciting, not overwhelming. She loves helping students discover who they are, identify schools where they’ll thrive and build applications that authentically reflect their strengths and goals.
Brooklyn lives in Fayetteville, North Carolina. When she’s not working with students, Brooklyn enjoys getting lost in a good book, exploring new places, and making frequent trips to see yet another Broadway show.
