A Chicago suburbs native, Cari attended Stevenson High School before heading to Ohio University to study Psychology and Sociology, then earning her master’s in School Counseling from Indiana University.
During the last 25 years, Cari has had the privilege of guiding students and families through important educational decisions, making the often overwhelming worlds of academics, college admissions, financial aid, and career planning feel more manageable. She later launched Major Help: College Counseling, where she loved working one-on-one with students through the college application journey. When she found Galin Education, she knew she’d found her “best-fit”; a team that shares her passion for helping students discover more about themselves while finding their “best-fit” colleges. She’s thrilled to be part of a collaborative team again while continuing to support students through one of the most exciting milestones of their lives.
Cari loves building genuine connections with her students. Her goal is to ease the anxiety of the college application process and help students see it as an opportunity to learn more about themselves and gain confidence which empowers them to make thoughtful post-secondary decisions.
In her spare time, Cari enjoys walking dogs at Heartland Animal Shelter, CorePower yoga and the Peloton, and of course spending time with her family… including her very best friend, Badger.
