Christina grew up an hour east of the Twin Cities and attended the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. At La Crosse, she studied Biology with plans to work in the healthcare field. She found she really enjoyed chemistry. She worked as a chemistry tutor in the Murphy Learning Center, as well as a tutor for Upward Bound, a college readiness program for high school students. Other involvements during her time at UWL included participating in the Healthcare Case Competition with Wisconsin Area Health Education Centers, helping construct and distribute My Maroon Apron Meal kits at UWL (free paper bag meal kits for college students), volunteering at HorseSense (therapeutic horseback riding for veterans and individuals with disabilities), and the serving on the officer team of the UWL Eta Phi Alpha Honor Society as Secretary and Vice President. She worked as a certified nursing assistant and clinical research fellow in the summers between academic years.

When it comes to healthcare related fields, Christina has a lot of experience, and can offer some guidance to students interested in fields such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, and many allied health professions. In her free time, Christina enjoys hiking, cooking, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
