Elizabeth is a Madison native who left home to attend the University of Washington for college where she studied math and Spanish and minored in education. While in college she volunteered with a program called Dream Project that supported underrepresented students throughout the college application process. After graduating, she did Teach for America in Milwaukee while working towards her master’s degree in education at Marquette University. After moving back to Madison, Elizabeth taught math at Memorial for five years. Now, she works as a curriculum developer authoring Algebra 2 for a national curriculum. Elizabeth is passionate about helping students develop their math identity while also building both their conceptual and procedural math skills. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and watching sports of any kind.
