A Madison native, Ethan is thrilled to be back in the Badger state after a 20 year journey that took him away to East and West coasts, Chicago, Colorado, and Asia. Ethan has over eight years of experience working with students both directly in the process of applying to colleges as well as reviewing applications for admission to higher education. After graduating from the University of Chicago with a BA in Philosophy in 2015, he moved to Shanghai, China where he instructed over 500 students over two years in ACT, SAT, SSAT, and AP exams covering English, Reading, Writing, and World History.
After taking the long way back to the US via the Trans-Mongolian and Trans-Siberian railroads, Ethan took a position as an Admissions Counselor at UW Madison, where he worked most directly with students applying from East Asia, as well as some Wisconsin students from the Milwaukee and northern areas of the state, eventually evaluating over 3,000 unique applications. Throughout these experiences, Ethan has been driven by a passion for learning, exploring, and teaching, and is thrilled to bring the knowledge he’s acquired to help students at Galin Education. When not working with students, Ethan enjoys spending time in the outdoors, fishing, cooking, and reading.
