Hildy grew up in a suburb of Boston. She attended Kenyon College where she majored in biology with a minor in chemistry and concentration in environmental studies. She earned her Master’s degree at UW Madison in Curriculum and Instruction. Hildy then lived and taught at international schools in Latin America, first in Colombia and then Peru. Hildy’s passion lies in making chemistry accessible to everyone. She also has experience teaching and tutoring in Biology, Physical Science, Environmental Studies, and Earth Science as well as basic algebra classes. Hildy strongly believes that all students can be successful in science. Her student-centered approached is tailored to individual needs and help each student develop a deep conceptual understanding.
Outside of the classroom, Hildy loves to go for a run, go to a yoga class, read a good book, and spend time with her friends.
