Academic Coach for Gifted Students

Jessica grew up in Madison Wisconsin on the near west side. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she studied communicative disorders and marketing communications and her MA in Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied interpersonal and organizational communication. Most recently, Jessica completed a Professional Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity specializing in Executive Function at Landmark College. Over her career, Jessica has worn many hats making her uniquely qualified to work with exceptional students. Her background in communicative disorders, social support, and neurodivergent students provides insights into this distinctive and sometimes quirky population. While her experience in marketing, public relations, and advertising has trained her to see points of differentiation, opportunities as opposed to challenges, and innovation as opposed to convention. Pulling from both of these areas, Jessica develops strength-based approaches for students so that they can see and appreciate their special talents and gifts, experience achievement, and forge their own paths to success.

In addition, Jessica is a mom to two 2e college students and as such understands the unique challenges associated with parenting profoundly gifted kids. In her free time, Jessica enjoys hiking, writing, traveling, attending live music and comedy shows, spending time with friends and family, and curling up on the couch for a good binge-watch marathon.
