Joachim Tutor

Joachim was born in Ohio and grew up in western Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music composition at Brigham Young University, where he tutored ESL and worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant in introductory sociology as well as music orchestration. He also undertook several years of foreign language study, including advanced courses in Spanish, Arabic, and Persian.

After beginning his graduate studies at UW-Madison, Joachim worked for the PEOPLE Program serving for two years as an Academic Lead in English and social studies at Memorial High School. He later worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the Mead Witter School of Music for three years, followed by a semester as a TA for the Life Sciences Communication department.

Joachim loves composing music, playing piano, reading articles about science and geopolitics, and trying new recipes with his air fryer.
