Jojo grew up in the Madison area and attended the University of Denver in Colorado. There, she studied Geographic Information Science (GIS), a growing field that combines geography with computer science, and minored in Mathematics and Sustainability. During her time at the University of Denver, Jojo worked as a Resident Assistant (RA) and at her dorm’s front desk. She also participated in intramural sports such as pickleball and volleyball. One of her most exciting summer experiences was working with the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Program through the Eat Wisconsin Fish initiative, where she helped develop an interactive fish finder map. Currently, Jojo also works as a Data Reconciliation Intern in the Master Data department at Fiskars in Middleton and volunteers weekly in the feline department at the Dane County Humane Society in Madison.
When it comes to geography and computer science-related fields, Jojo has a lot of experience and can offer valuable guidance to students interested in GIS, Math, Computer Science, Geography, or Environmental Science. In her free time, Jojo enjoys running, playing piano, board games, and spending time with friends and family.
