Poet, author, and teacher, Karyn is passionate about helping students discover their full potential and achieve their academic goals. She has been teaching writing at the college level for twenty years, advising first-year students for ten years, and helping students apply to college and major scholarships for over five. Karyn has also worked with students to secure major prestigious awards like Fulbright, Goldwater, Udall, and NSF GRFP. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Karyn leads writing workshops for those incarcerated at her local county jail and is an advocate for restorative justice. She is a recipient of a Creatives Rebuild NY Artist Award and organizes the North Country’s Poetry with Purpose monthly reading series. A lover of nature and the Adirondacks, Karyn lives in the wild North Country of New York with her family.
