Kurtis was raised in Bronx, NY and moved to Houston, TX where he attended the University of Houston. At UH, he studied Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. While finishing his degree, Kurtis worked at an internship in which he was able to learn and increase his skills as both an engineer and project manager. He was also able to start up a non-profit called GRAJJ that focuses on uplifting underserved creatives and small businesses by giving them a platform to show their work through events. After graduating, Kurtis moved to Madison, Wisconsin to work as a Project Manager for Epic Systems, a company that focuses on making healthcare more accessible through the use of technology. There, he further solidified his skills as a project manager and became well adjusted to project planning, developing excel sheets, and scrum/lean principles. After his time at Epic, he went to another company in the engineering field called Energy Solutions that focuses on moving the United States to using more energy efficient technology. There, he still works as a project manager but is working his way to transitioning into an engineer for the company.
Due to his past and current experiences, Kurtis has a lot of knowledge regarding engineering and project management. Enough to have the ability to offer guidance in those areas to someone who is seeking it. Kurtis also takes interest in music through production, instruments, and djing as well as photography/videography, electronics, coding, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
