Michael is passionate about helping students navigate some of life’s biggest decisions and transitions. He has about eight years of experience working in the higher ed across institutions that are public, private, out-of-state, in-state, large, and small. He has experience as an advisor, instructor, event planner, and more, but most of his experience has been in college admissions at UW-Madison. The highlights of his career have been helping students from Wisconsin navigate their college search, collaborating with universities across the UW-System, and helping new freshman transition to college life.

Michael grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Michael’s passion for helping students find their path stems from his own time as an undergraduate student when he explored many areas of study and had great support systems who helped him navigate decisions. He earned a B.A. with a major in interpersonal and organizational communication, and a minor in sociology. Michael then went on to work in admissions at UW-Madison, and pursued a M.S. in Student Affairs at Nova Southeastern University. He now works as an advisor and instructor at UW-Madison and loves living in Madison. Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with friends.
