Quintin, born and raised in the Madison area and went to the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he got his BS in Physics and Astrophysics. His undergraduate projects were on galactic winds and the rotation of asteroids, and he tutored intro-level math and physics courses. He got his MS and PhD at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he studied space plasma physics and spacecraft instrumentation, specializing in the Earth’s magnetosphere and miniaturized particle detectors. At CU he worked closely with undergraduate and graduate students as a teaching assistant and lab group leader. He worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center after graduate school, but realized that Madison is a far better place to raise a family, so came home. He worked briefly for Northstar Medical Radioisotopes to help build a particle accelerator for nuclear pharmaceuticals, and as brewmaster for the Borough Beer Company, but now continues doing space physics and flight hardware part-time as a contractor for NASA and Space Sciences Innovations, Inc. He also subs in the Middleton and Madison school districts.

Quintin specializes in math and science tutoring at Galin. He wishes his wife would play more board games with him, and will even let her win sometimes, and that his kids would appreciate his cooking more.
