Sophia is a Wisconsin native and spent the majority of her childhood in Madison. She completed her undergraduate education and received comprehensive honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She began as a double major in English and International Studies and eventually added a third major, History, as she discovered her interest in the subject. She also minored in European Studies, Art History, and Folklore. At UW-Madison she wrote for various on-campus publications and writing organizations, eventually becoming Deputy Editor in Chief for the Wisconsin International Review and Editor in Chief of Souvenirs magazine under the Wisconsin Union Directorate. She was also on editorial boards for the undergraduate literary journal The Madison Review and the undergraduate history journal Archive. She spent her junior year abroad studying at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Following her experiences studying abroad she decided to complete her Masters in Modern History at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, studying 18th and 19th century British history. However, Sophia has a wide variety of interests and enjoys learning about many different historical and contemporary topics. In her free time she enjoys creative writing, reading, traveling, walking outside, and spending time with her dog and cat.
