How did you think about college and the college application process before working with your Galin counselor?

Prior to working with my counselor I had no idea where I fit in the world of college admissions. Growing up in a small town in the Midwest, I didn’t have access to many of the resources that other students at the college I am now attending in the fall had. For this reason, I had no clue what my potential was, which schools were realistic for me, or what to even prioritize as I entered my senior year.

What was the most surprising thing to you about the college counseling process?

I was surprised how much improvement I could make to my extracurriculars prior to entering senior year.

What did you find the most helpful about the college counseling process?

Receiving feedback on my essays, especially when it came to shortening them was a great help.

Where are you planning to attend school next year and how are you feeling about your decision?

I am planning on attending Northeastern University with a combined major of International Business and Economics. I really feel that with Galin’s support I made the right choice, and I am excited for the fall!
