How did you think about college and the college application process before working with your Galin counselor?

I thought college applications would be a straight forward process. However, when I started looking into the college application process, it wasn’t as easy or as straight forward as I originally thought. 

What was the most surprising thing to you about the college counseling process? 

The most surprising thing about college applications for me was the amount of detail that went into them. I had so many questions about different sections on how I was supposes to fill them out and having someone who was ready to answer my questions during this stressful time was very helpful. 

What did you find the most helpful about the college counseling process? 

I found researching and learning about other schools to be the most helpful thing about working with my counselor. I ended up going to a school I didn’t even consider before researching it and touring it, and I am really happy that researching different schools pointed me in the right path. 

Where are you planning to attend school next year and how are you feeling about your decision? 

I am planning to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne to study civil engineering. I am beyond happy about my decision and it feels like the perfect fit for me.
